A group of young offenders are delivered to an island for a week of character building exercises after one of their fellow inmates commits suicide.. It all goes horribly wrong when they realise that there′s someone else on the island who has a pack of dogs and a crossbow with which to hunt them down.。清末民初，充满报国志向的军官陈湃被人陷害成为瞎子，流落成麦客。在西北双牛堡，陈湃协助村民反抗马匪的压迫，并且重新燃起斗志，成长为一名盲人侠客。
