本剧讲述一代女侠黑玫瑰为了家庭而放弃行侠仗义的职责，安心做其家庭主妇，相夫教子。奈何子女们却不了解这个曾经是英雄的母亲，只视她为懦弱怕事、漠视公义的小女子。及后当子女们得悉母亲的过去，才真真正正认识这个母亲、明白母亲的一片苦心。。Speedy" loses his job as a soda-jerk, then spends the day with his girl at Coney Island. He then becomes a cab driver and delivers Babe Ruth to Yankee Stadium, where he stays to see the game. When the railroad tries to run the last horse-drawn trolley (operated by his girl's grandfather) out of business, "Speedy" organizes the neighborhood oldtimers to thwart their scheme.。
